Our church, along with other churches and organisations in the community, has for many years provided emergency relief of food as part of our Christian outreach to families who are either homeless or have serious financial problems. This is made possible by the availability of low cost food items from Foodbank and generous donations from parishioners.
This ministry provides low level counselling to determine the extent of the need and provides opportunities for direction to other services in the community in the hope that the present crisis can be relieved.
Volunteers from our Freezer Ministry make casseroles, to provide nourishing meals for clients in need. This service is available on Thursdays from 10.00am to 12.30pm.
